How Phangan Transfer Service handles the small amount of information you share when you book a ride. In short: we only use it to arrange your transfer, and we never sell it.

1. Who we are

This website (phangantransfers.com) is operated by Phangan Transfer Service ("Mr M", "we", "us"), a private transfer service on Koh Phangan, Thailand. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

  • Booking details you send us. When you contact us via WhatsApp or phone, we receive the information you choose to share — such as your name, pickup location, destination, dates, times, number of passengers and any special requests.
  • Location (only if you choose to share it). Our "Share my live location" button uses your device's location only to create a map link that is placed into a WhatsApp message for you to send. We do not track or store your location on this website.
  • No accounts, no online forms stored by us. This is a simple website with no login and no database. Our booking forms simply pre-fill a WhatsApp message on your device — nothing is submitted to or stored on our servers.
  • Local storage. We store one small setting in your browser to remember if you dismissed the "add to home screen" banner. This is not shared with anyone.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you send only to respond to your enquiry, arrange and provide your transfer or service, and keep in touch with you about your booking. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

4. Third-party services

This website and our booking process rely on some trusted third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • WhatsApp / Meta — used for booking messages. Your WhatsApp conversation is governed by WhatsApp's privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts & Google Maps — fonts are loaded from Google; some links open Google Maps.
  • OpenStreetMap & Leaflet — our interactive island map uses OpenStreetMap map tiles and the Leaflet library (loaded from a CDN).
  • 12Go Asia — onward-travel booking links are affiliate links to 12Go; if you book there, their privacy policy applies.

When you interact with these services, they may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type in the normal course of serving content. We do not control their processing.

5. Cookies

We do not set our own tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run analytics that profile you. Third-party embedded services (above) may set their own cookies or receive technical data as part of loading their content.

6. Data retention

We keep WhatsApp messages and booking details for as long as needed to provide the service and for our reasonable business records. You can ask us to delete your conversation at any time.

7. Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just message us on WhatsApp and we'll help.

8. Children

Our services are booked by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Where families travel with children, we only use the travel details provided by the booking adult to arrange the transfer.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always on this page with the "last updated" date shown above.
