Koh Phangan ferry
& transfer guide.

Every visitor to Koh Phangan arrives by boat. Here's how the piers and ferries work, which routes go where โ€” and how we take over the moment you step off the ramp.

The piers

  • Thong Sala pier โ€” the island's main gateway, on the west coast. Almost all ferries dock here, and it's the best pier for onward travel to any part of Koh Phangan.
  • Haad Rin pier โ€” on the southern tip, served by some boats from Koh Samui. Handy if you're staying in Haad Rin, especially around the Full Moon Party.

Ferry companies & routes

Several operators serve Koh Phangan, including Lomprayah, Seatran Discovery, Raja Ferry and Songserm. Between them they connect the island to:

  • Koh Samui โ€” the quickest hop, around 30โ€“45 minutes by high-speed catamaran.
  • Surat Thani & the mainland โ€” via the Donsak piers, combined with a bus from Surat Thani town or airport.
  • Koh Tao โ€” north to the diving island, roughly 1โ€“1.5 hours by fast boat.

Schedules and prices vary by season and operator, so it's worth checking times when you book your boat.

How we meet you at the pier

Piers can be hectic when a ferry unloads โ€” dozens of arrivals, touts and taxis all at once. Pre-book with Mr M and it's calm and simple: send your boat's arrival time, and your driver is waiting with your name, ready to load your bags and drive you straight to your accommodation for a fixed price.

Delays happen. Boats can run late with weather or tides โ€” share your details and we'll track your actual arrival, so we're there when you land, not before.

Arriving from Koh Samui and want to skip the ferry timetable? Consider a private speedboat + minivan transfer straight to Ban Tai pier.

Book your pier pickup

Send your ferry and arrival time โ€” we'll be waiting at the pier to take it from there.
