Koh Samui Airport
to Koh Phangan.

Koh Phangan has no airport, so most visitors fly into Koh Samui (USM) and hop across by boat. Here's exactly how the journey works โ€” and how to make it effortless.

The journey

Three simple stages โ€” allow around 2 to 3 hours in total, door to door.

    Arrive at Samui Airport

Land at Koh Samui (USM). From the airport it's a short ride to one of the island's northern piers โ€” Bang Rak (Big Buddha) or Maenam โ€” where boats to Koh Phangan depart.

  2. 2

    Ferry to Koh Phangan

High-speed catamarans (such as Lomprayah and Seatran) cross to Thong Sala pier in roughly 30โ€“45 minutes. Some services run to Haad Rin too. Boats run several times a day.

    Minivan to your door

Mr M meets you at the Koh Phangan pier and drives you and your luggage straight to your hotel or villa in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan.

Tips for a smooth trip

  • Book the last boat with a buffer. Leave a comfortable gap between your flight landing and the ferry โ€” flights and bags can run late.
  • Catch the ferry to Thong Sala unless you're staying in Haad Rin, as it serves the widest range of onward destinations.
  • Pre-book your pier pickup. Taxis at the pier can be busy and pricey on arrival; arranging Mr M in advance means a fixed price and no waiting.
  • Travelling light on time? A private speedboat transfer from Samui straight to Ban Tai pier skips the ferry schedule entirely.
The easy way: we can coordinate the whole chain for you โ€” just send your flight details and hotel, and we'll plan the timing so someone is always waiting.
